Lake Champlain Barlow: Clip Point - Jigged Titanium

I carry a modern and a traditional knife every day and have extensive experience with most if not all brands, patterns, materials and blade grinds and the Lake Champlain delivers in every critical category. The knife is beautiful, it’s also beautifully built, it’s size makes it usable and durable, the pattern and dimensions make the handle grippy, the blade is large but not too large, it’s thin behind the edge but thick at the spine, the materials are great, the heat treat seems to seriously elevate edge retention and the knife is a pleasure to use.

This knife can be your everything and it’s built to last a lifetime at a price that’s way below what it’s truly worth. I know my review is heavy on superlatives but this piece deserves the praise because it’s absolutely incredible!

The Lake Champlain Barlow is another absolute highly recommended winner for the C. Risner/TPK knife family. The Ohio River Jack has been a favorite of mine and most recommended modern slip joint for it's outstanding materials, M390 blade steel, build quality, and exceptional value. The Lake Champlain Barlow is right there with it. It's a big boy and an incredibly capable beast of a slip joint. I expect I'll be carrying and using this one for a long long time. Highly recommended!
