RoseCraft Blades Beaver Creek Barlow Stag (RCT006-STG)

This was the knife that started my love affair with Rose Craft Slip Joint traditional knives. Muddies to the Chinese craftsmen that seriously went the extra mile to produce a flawless knife. The D2 steel is sharp out of the box with the blade centered perfect. It is a hard pull getting the blade open so if you’re not careful you will need a bandaide. 😀 Tge scales are perfectly matched and the pins are chamfered perfectly. There is zero space in the back side where the metal bands come together making it look as if it is one piece and smith as silk. This knife is up to a life time of hard use. I wish there was an American made Barlow that came close to the quality. Get one. You won’t regret it.

I loved it so much I bought 2

I have a half dozen Rosecraft knives and another on the way. They are all very well made. Fit and finish excellent. Great construction quality with good walk and talk. Of these with stag scales, I would say the stag is good to great. You just never know what you are going to get with stag but the Rosecraft have been consistently nice material. Would love to see a carbon steel option.
