I wasn't sure I'dl like this knife from the photo.I liked the green Micarta and the blade shape, but thought it was bigger. A very pleasant surprise when I opened †he box. The knife was smaller than I imagined - but was the perfect size for me. Great Roseccraft fit and finish, sharp blade, great feel in the hand, and consistently excellent TPK service.
C. Risner is my new favorite knife store. The shipping and packaging is fantastic. I dig the green scales and the fit and finish is great. Because of the blade shape the nail nick is a little far back for me, but the price is great, as is the the knife.
Rosecraft pound for pound is the best value in the slipjoint world. Again. Completely knocked out of the park.
I purchased two of these Congresses with two types of handles. One with the Green Micarta and the other with the Burlwood. These knives are large, but fit my hands like a glove. I really like the Wharncliffe blades, which is why I found these two to be very attractive.
Both of them open smoothly and close with a snap. The lines are very nice and the run up of the blade to the spring is exact and like it should be. RoseCraft designed these just right and the manufacturer did right by RoseCraft...as always.
