Nice knife

I have been a long time fan of the loom fixer pattern and Rosecraft definitely did it right! Starting with a great ergonomic swayback handle and enough blade to cut into anything I need. As with all Rosecraft Blades the fit and finish is spot on, perfect action, and razor sharp out of the box. If you like a sheepsfoot blade and a swayback handle get this knife you will not be disappointed!!

Lick Creek

Really love the wooden handles. There is just something about wood that just makes a knife special.
Maybe it's a nostalgia thing.

Fit and finish

Great fit and finish! Walk and talk is what everyone says. I personally don't like how sharp the edges of scales and bolsters are. Also the knife is a bit big as far as I'm concerned. But those are personal preferences!

Good affordable knives!

I ordered two RoseCraft knives, a Barlow for myself and the Lick Creek Loom Fixer in Genuine Rosewood for my husband. Although this was the first time purchasing RoseCraft, we are not disappointed with our purchase.

Going in, we knew they wouldn’t be comparable to our favorite American made GEC’s, but we were both very pleased nonetheless. The fit and finish and blade grinds are perfect on both.

Sharpness is subjective to each individual. I thought both knives were sharp enough; however, my husband thought they could be sharper. He likes his knives EXTREMELY sharp, but he had no problem sharpening the Lick Creek Loom Fixer to his liking.

We are pleased that China was only on a small sticker on the knives instead of being stamped on the blades. Again, going in we knew that they’re not American made, but we were glad that the origin was only on a sticker instead of the knives themselves.

Although the Lick Creek Loom Fixer doesn’t have this “issue,” my Barlow does, and it’s just a matter of personal preference. I would prefer the bolster to be plain instead of having the RoseCraft logo etched on it. In my opinion, it makes the knife look “cheap and tacky,” but I knew what I was getting before ordering it.

All in all, RoseCraft makes a nice knife at an affordable price. If you’re looking for a good knife that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, you won’t be disappointed. Being made with D2 steel, the Lick Creek Loom Fixer will make a great EDC work knife for my husband, and I imagine we’ll probably buy from RoseCraft again.

Feels good in hand.

Great fit & finish, nice looking with the wood scales and feels good in hand. Good blade shape for EDC.
