As with the single blade ORJs everything is perfect on this double blade. The ergos actually feel better as the wider handle fills the hand more and it is nice having two blades to choose from. I’ve found the best way to carry this is vertical in the 5th pocket of my jeans with the backsprings up against the flat seam of the pocket. It sits just below the top of the pocket and carries extremely well in this position so much so that you don’t even notice the weight or width of the knife. You just enjoy having and using those fantastic blades when it’s time!
As title says, this thing is a beast. Shaving sharp M390 out the box, used it for 3 weeks and not even close to needing to sharpen. This knife is perfect for hard work outside in wet environments, takes a beating and doesn’t rust..Perfect fit and finish, hard snap, great centering, no gaps whatsoever. Compared to other modern traditionals on the market, this is a steal.
Very well made knife. Perfectly centered, no blade play and has a good snap to it when opening and closing. It came with a thank you note from the owner so that's pretty nice too.
As amazing as the single blades are, the two springs in parallel perfection is something to behold. Superior quality micarta and flat grind cutting performance make this piece a joy to use. It may seem counterintuitive but dual slots would still be a welcome addition. The ORJ design employs stop pins to eliminate blade wrap and it really comes into play here where you are bound to put pressure on the blade not in use. FYI: the 'small' CRC slip is a perfect fit for the single, but too tight for this one.
As I said I’m not a traditional knife collector. But I love a modern twist on a traditional. I’m very fond of wharncliffe and spearpoint blades. And they both come in one package. I see this as a knife I could pass down to the next generation.
