These JWK gateway series knives are awesome. The blade shape is very useful and mine came shaving sharp. The handle feels good in hand and the abalone really pops. I love these JWK V2 Barlows, I have the Goddess kirinite (it looks like folded metallic chocolate) and the purple sawcut G10 versions too. All have excellent fit and finish and walk/talk.
Missed out on the first drop of Gateway Barlows, so went for broke on this drop and got the Abalone handles. Couldn’t be more pleased with the perfect fit and finish.
These are nice knives! I actually gave this one to my friend at work. He is new to knife collecting and Slipjoint knives. I let him pick out the one he wanted and this was it! Excellent series for introducing Slipjoints! I did show him my Hot Brass Jack from Austin's designs and I saw a twinkle in his eye. Pretty cool 😎
