I have one of each style, the paring knife, the slicing knife, and now the steak knife. Each are classics. The paring and slicing knives reside in the kitchen and are used daily for food prep. The steak is the largest of the three and I think may travel with me in my backpack while hunting. Certainly capable enough for anything up to deer sized game. And I have an extra GEC leather sheath so it works out really well. The steel gets an awesome patina over time and the burlap Micarta scales are just the best. Sturdy and handsome and grip nicely. Buy one, you will enjoy it!
I’ve been using this as my pairing knife and I really enjoy it so far. Very thin blade geometry that just glides through material. Great slicer. The patina that’s forming is also pretty wicked looking. Also already sharpened it and it takes a real keen edge. 5/5 would recommend.
