For wood carvers and whittlers, this is a great folder to drop in your pocket or carving bag. Steel is fantastic, and holds an edge, blade is slicey, handle is a comfortable shape, and it’s great for detail work and push cuts. If you are going to take it off the collection shelf use it as a carver, be sure to treat the handles first with your favorite sealant. As described the handles are pine heart - a really pretty untreated wood, but soft, easily marred, and splintery. Once treated, it’s a good companion for carving while away from your workshop.
