So, I liked the Finch Holiday knife w/Snakewood scales so much, I ordered the White Ox Bone Holiday. I wanted the Ox Bone Finch originally, but it was out of stock, so I went with the Snakewood. As soon as I saw the Ox Bone Holiday was back in stock…BAM!…I didn’t hesitate, and I’m glad I didn’t.
I have never seen white bone so pure & clean. With mine, there are no black vein marks running through the bone. It is just pure white…and looks gorgeous. I’ll just consider myself lucky and fortunate, but all of them are probably the same. I could not be more satisfied with this purchase. As with the Snakewood Holiday, this Ox Bone Holiday is just as smooth operating as the Snakewood. Super fast opening…smooth as silk, and closes just as easy. This knife is designed so simple, with minimum mechanical function, a child could use it. (with supervision, of course) The blade locks in place solid and tight…just as it should. The ease of closing is so smooth that one can do it one handed. (With practice) There is no SNAP when closing this blade one handed, so one does not have to be concerned about it snapping closed on fingers. This knife feels GREAT in the hand and the blade comes razor sharp…again, as it should. I’ve used my Snakewood Holiday many times already, for it became my new EDC. The Wharncliffe blade is exceptional and I’ve really grown to like and admire this style of blade for those times when I need a ‘point’ to get the job done.
C. Risner Cutlery is quick and efficient in processing orders and shipping. I’ve NEVER had an issue with their Customer Service or with ordering and receiving my purchases.
