RoseCraft Blades French Broad Jack Black Sandalwood (RCT007-BW)

My third RoseCraft traditional, and my new favorite. The French Broad Jack is a great execution on a classy, curvy Wharncliffe slip joint. Great as a lightweight casual or dress-up knife. D2 is the perfect steel for a knife like this. Looks great, works great. Couldn't be happier.

Like all the RoseCraft offerings I've tried so far, the French Broad Jack is a beautiful knife that is very well executed. Classy but still definitely functional. It's a excellent size for a knife of this style and I really, really love that there is enough blade tang to rest my finger on if I want to. The wood is gorgeous and looks deep black until you get it in good light at the proper angles and all the browns come out.

I'm a sharpener so can tolerate some poor edges but this knife definitely does not suffer from that. The edge is very even and plenty sharp out of the box. The entire knife is just very, very well done.

If you have issues with Made in China, I encourage you to reconsider. I work in manufacturing so I get it, but there can absolutely be excellent products from reputable people coming out of China and RoseCraft is a fine example of both. These aren't cheap knock-offs of stolen designs. They are high quality using very good materials with excellent build quality at a price that I might not otherwise be able to participate.
