Not particularly a fan of kirinite but this color was interesting. It looks like flowing caramel. A few tiny nicks/scratches on the bolsters otb which I don't see on the other gateways. Great action and ergos, handsome clip. Glad I got it.
I love everything about this knife. The larger size fits my hands better, the blade is shave your face off sharp, and the Root Beer kirinite really pops. It is a lighter colored root beer, almost orangish, but it’s till nice.
Outstanding fit and finish. Longer length slipjoint is good addition to lineup. Kirinite is visually interesting. Pull is a bit lighter than the highend JW’s, but still in the great range. Weight = 2.9oz.
For the look, feel and action, your money won’t go any further. Just an exceptional value. The root beer krinite pattern looks like balsa wood in the right light - beautiful shading and coloration. Satisfying walk and talk, moderate pull strength with a perfect clip point.
