Was great quality like all JWK, but wasn't a five star for me. Loved the kirinite. Was happy they finally got a fixed blade in the Gateway series but was not a meaty enough handle to be comfortable in my hand unfortunately. I know it is a pocket drop but my hand wants to cramp up from the thin handle. Otherwise of course it is sharp, gorgeous and worth the money. C. Riser was one of the only places to get the kirinite and the shipped it very fast.
I’m so satisfied with the Gateway FIXedc, its compact enough to be a true everyday day carry and the purple kirinite is beautiful.
This fixed blade is small, but sturdy. The purple accentuates that Jack Wolf spirit. It’s the perfect size to be a neck, knife or a pocket fixed blade. It comes to the great sheath and a very interesting clip, which is pretty useful in multiple situations. Jack Wolfe just can’t miss.
This is a nice little fixed blade. The handle is a three finger grip, but the lanyard really does provide a pinky grip that make the it a four finger knife. It's a nice size for fishing and to have while hiking. The quality is very good, full tang, sharp blade. The Kydex sheath holds the knife firmly and fits a wide belt. It also fits the loop in front strap of a backpack.
So happy with this knife. The blade shape, the overall size, the fit and finish, sweet looking deep purple krinite scales, and sub $100 price tag makes it the perfect EDC fixed blade. Even the lanyard is the right length and nicely tied off. Since I prefer to carry it in my pocket, I put an UltiClip 3.3 on the Kydex sheath.
