I love JWK, but I only like this one. The fit and finish is good, the handle is light, and the blade grinds look great. But there are a few problems, the biggest is it’s too small. Due to the small size there isn’t much room to put your fingers so they are always on the lock bar, making the opening action poor. The front flipper is terrible and the thumbstuds don't work well either. The action is drop shut good, you just don’t get to enjoy it much. If it was the size of the other JWK frame locks I don’t think it would have this issue. The other thing is the sunburst milling is rather shallow, I like to feel the milled texture in hand, and this one lacks that feel. It should have a price tag of $250-$275. Austin and crew get 5 stars as usual.
Drop shut and snappy frame lock. Nice compound grind, quality materials. Would buy again.
