Great little slip joint! Fantastic walk and talk. Fit and finish are on point. I've bought three variations of this one and they are all awesome!
The design of this one is particularly excellent! I really like mine and can highly recommend this knife!
One of my favorites. I had gotten the orange slice acrylic sometime back and this is the perfect companion. As always, very sharp, nice snap, gorgeous smooth bone. I like the Indian Head line very much. Can't wait to see what's next.
Coastline Jack: Indian Head Red Smooth Bone - Modified Spey Blade 154CM
This has skyrocketed to one of my favorites. The easy-open notch and double-sided long pull do a lot for making this a dream to open and close. The spring is stout and evokes a strong sense of confidence. If anything, perhaps the edge on the pull and the jimping is just a touch too crisp, collecting a bit of my drier skin top layer. But the confidence in a small knife is 2nd to none. The modified spey blade gives a lot of cutting power in a small package. My one desire for it would be to see it in a thinner blade stock. It does get a bit thick out toward the tip which is a tradeoff for its supreme stoutness.
What I really wanted this for was to have a piece of the Indian Head history with me. The shield stands strong and proud, with the weight of its legacy behind it. The red bone is vibrant and is mesmerizing with how it catches the light. The polished cap and bolster are done magnificently and the seams with the backspring are nigh imperceptible. A fantastic addition to the C. Risner
