Little Blue Bowie Folder

I usually go for much larger knives, but after watching videos and reading favorable reviews on Finch knives, I decided to “pull the trigger” and get one. Totally blown away with the quality workmanship, materials and attention to details on this dinky little knife! It is a perfect 5th pocket knife that can be pulled out and utilized discreetly when that sort of situation arises. The fit and finish is very good and the blade is as sharp as a razor right out of the box, hence the Band-aid! And let’s not forget Finch’s signature glow in the dark logo on the micarta scale! I will definitely be obtaining more Finch knives! Love it!

Beautiful knife

I love this knife. The micarta is really nice and has some grip to it. The blade is why I bought this knife in the first place—a really cool design. I only gave it 4 stars because the liner lock is very difficult for me to use.

Great knife, and a little nostalgia too

There’s three parts to this review; the knife, the Finch brand, and TPK. The knife exceeded my expectations. Extremely well made and all the little details are done correctly: the two-tone blade finish, the micarta color and texture, pivot collar, titanium clip, flipping action – it all adds up to make a unique and also very usable knife. It’s just a fun knife to carry and use. Finch seems to have found that market niche for someone like me who’s old enough that traditional knives are what my dad carried and what he gave me as my first knife, but who also enjoys modern knife features like locks and one hand opening. And if you’ve ever walked the train tracks to get from one side of town to the other you’ll get the Finch marketing for this knife. Finally I can’t say enough good things about Austin and TPK. Starting with navigating the website and the great pictures, to the shipping and email communications, the buying experience is as close as you can get to walking into your hometown knife store and spending hours studying every knife in stock.

Finch Drifter

I received my Drifter 8 days ago and started carrying it as my secondary knife one week ago today. I usually rotate my knives every day, but it stayed in my pocket 3 days straight. I always carry R.E.D. on Fridays so it wasn't in my pocket on Friday, but Saturday it returned to my pocket. It has fast become my favorite secondary knife. It spent 6 days in my pocket in the first week. It will be in my carry rotation for many years to come.
I would recommend this beautiful knife if you like the bowie/clippoint blade in the smaller size and want a lock blade. Finch is a high quality knife that updates the traditional style knives.
