I own a variety of aluminum handled knives. For me, the combination of bronze checkered handles with matte black 154CM blade steel on the Daedalus Lab was a winner. Sharp as can be out of the box. Sturdy liner lock with a snappy top flipper. I prefer to open it by just using the fuller as a nail nick. A thumb stud might've been nice to have, but it would be a potential snag on this streamlined tool. A back flipper might be easier to use, but again, that would create the possibility of a snag on your pocket. This knife performs admirably for every day tasks. I've been carrying a copper handled Kershaw for many years, but this is my new work EDC. A great value.
