This knife lives up to all the 5-star reviews. It's shorter than I usually go for, but it has a solid heft that overachieves for its size. If it was a pro ballplayer, it would be an All Star catcher who hits for power and intimidates baserunners.
I'd hoped to see some lighter variations in the buffalo horn it appears jet black. The covers are polished like glass. You can kind of sense a depth and richness but only certain light brings out some deep mahogany bands. This design is just unique enough.
I bought the hot brass jack hoping it was as good as all the reviews I had seen and I was not disappointed the knife is top notch for such a low price I keep this in my pocket till I decide which other one I want to buy
