MW Steel Works Exclusive Old Crow FatCarbon Purple Haze

I had been eyeing this one for my first fixed blade EDC. I think the list price is a good value but when it went on sale I ordered. The fat carbon beautifully hugs the tang, perfectly smooth, giving the grip on the handle a perfect level of comfort. Size-wise, this knife slips perfectly in the front pocket in its leather sheath. The picture make it seem somewhat bigger than it is. When laid beside an open Baby Banter, the Crow is not that much longer. To me, this is just the right size for EDC. I will say that the knife is more “choppy” than “slicey.”Like a kitchen chefs knife it performs chopping tasks well, and while it slices well too, it lends itself better to the former than the later. The only negative I can offer is that it did not come very sharp but I managed to correct that in no time. In summary, I am glad that I got this knife, I carry it often and I think most of you would enjoy it as well.
