Ohio River Jack: Double Blade Natural Canvas Micarta

Fantastic execution and design. Nothing is lost in the translation to modern materials, my copy is flawless and the attention to detail in packaging betrays an over all concern for detail. Perfect for the user who wants traditional design coupled with the performance of modern materials. Wow, well done indeed, thanks!

Great knife

Awhile ago I purchased the ORJ sheep foot blade knife. I wanted a knife for going out with my family you know … a good classic knife that won’t scare liberals when you open it. But I found myself carrying this all the time and I was leaving my bench made well on the bench. After about 8 months I decided to buy another Incase the first one broke which it probably never will. But having the sheep foot blade, I kind of wanted the other two blade types too. The double blade is just as rugged and will be in rotation. These are really awesome knives I use mine hard it stays sharp, it’s rugged, it’s classic, and I can’t say any thing I would improve on. I bought a “second” for my father in law and hope to see them back on sale soon. Thank you C . Risner

Incredible Knife

Wow…it’s rare that I receive a knife that not only meets all my expectations, but actually *exceeds* them!

The knife is stocky but not overly so. Just enough that it fills your hand and doesn’t feel flimsy. Similarly, the blade length is perfect. Long enough that it can do more robust work but still be a good small-ish knife.

The titanium bolsters are very nice and well machined, as is the rest of the handle. No hot spots when really gripping down. It feels excellent in hand. The micarta is smooth yet substantial, and really gives you a good grip no matter how you hold it.

The blades are excellent in pretty much every sense. The spear point is robust and wide, and the sheepsfoot/wharnscliffe is nice and precise. The edge on the blades was great and shaving sharp right out of the box.

The backspring strength is awesome. Half stops on both blades, and a solid pull at that! Doesn’t feel like it’s gonna come open unless you want it to. Inversely, the blades snap into position with authority and don’t close without a respectable amount of effort, so you don’t need to worry about it closing on you, within reason for a slipjoint knife, that is.

This is the first knife I’ve purchased from TSP but it definitely won’t be the last!
