QSP Penguin Knife QS130-B2 Denim Micarta D2 Steel

This is an excellent no frills pocket knife. Pivot is on washers and is very smooth. Action gets even better after break in. Blade was really sharp and is excellent for all types of utility cuts. Fits in the pocket really well. Denim micarta handles are stylish and comfortable. The Penguin is here to stay!

The Penguin is great value. Obviously the D2 blade steel is nothing fantastic but the micarta scales place the Penguin in the “best bang for your buck” category. It honestly restored my faith on micarta after a less than satisfactory Civivi Elementum. I do want to mention the extremely quick product shipping. A shipping label was created in a hour and in possession by USPS in a few hours. Talk about Amazon fast! Once, the knife was received, I was pleasantly surprised by a hand written note on the receipt/packing slip. Well done, Thanks for a fantastic customer experience!

The qsp penguin is easily one of the best values blades I own. D2 steel, quality denim micarta scales, very comfortable in hand. Could have been just a slight bit sharper from factory, but for $33 I still have to give it a perfect score.
